The Guided Fresh Water Creek Lagoon Tour is a two-hour guided kayak trip on the lagoon in Hopkins, Belize — beginner-friendly, on calm, flat water.
This is the water we cross to reach our island, and it's worth slowing down in. Mountains rise behind you on one side; at the other end the lagoon opens into an estuary and then the sea.
Your guide knows what lives here and where to look, and the lagoon is quiet enough that the wildlife doesn't disappear when you arrive.
It's a real paddle and you'll feel it in your arms, but no experience is needed and nobody gets left behind.
