About this stay

The Kalipuna Ancestral Renewal Escape is a two-night stay on Kalipuna Cultural Heritage Island in Hopkins, Belize, with breakfasts and dinners, our Garifuna cultural and culinary experiences, the Herbal Healing Trail, an herbal bath and a deep ancestral massage, at $499 per person based on two people sharing a room.

Two nights gives you time to settle. The culture and the food come first. The healing trail, the herbal bath and the massage follow, drawn from plant knowledge our family has carried for generations.

You stay in one of our two solar-powered rooms, Anichigu or Isieni, each with a private bath and porch.

Planning your stay

Is the price per person?

Yes — $499 per person, based on two people sharing a room.

What should I bring for the herbal bath?

A spare set of clothes.

Can you cater for vegetarians?

Yes — tell us in advance. If you don't eat fish, we'll prepare vegetables or an alternative such as chicken, also with advance notice.

How do we get to the island?

By kayak — a short, calm paddle across Fresh Water Creek Lagoon, included in the price. If you'd rather not paddle, a boat crossing is available at extra cost.

What should I bring?

Sun protection, insect repellent (natural repellent is available on site), light clothing, shoes that can get wet and dry quickly, and a spare set of clothes for the herbal bath.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel 30 or more days before for a full refund minus a 10% processing fee, or 15 days before for a 50% refund or full credit toward a future booking. Cancellations less than 7 days before are non-refundable. The full policy is on our Terms page.
