Healing is not an add-on here.
Palmento Grove exists partly because of Uwahnie’s own healing journey. Guests have always told us that the quiet, the food and the drums did something for them they did not expect.
So we take it seriously. Everything on this page comes from Garifuna practice — plant knowledge, touch, water, smoke and rhythm — and is offered by our own family, on our own island.

What to know.
By reservation onlyEvery visit is booked in advance. There are no walk-ins.
Getting to the islandFree pickup from your hotel in Hopkins. A short kayak crossing is included; a boat is available at extra cost.
Bring a change of clothesFor after the salt water bathe or herbal bath. Also sun protection, repellent and shoes that can get wet.

Do I need any experience?
No. We explain each practice before it begins — what it is, what it’s for and where it comes from.
Can the massage focus on one area?
Yes. Tell your therapist where you’re holding tension and the hour goes there.
Where do we meet?
At the estuary on the northern side of Hopkins, known locally as “Hawaii” — or we pick you up from your hotel in Hopkins for free.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel 30 or more days before for a full refund minus a 10% processing fee, or 15 days before for a 50% refund or full credit toward a future booking. Cancellations less than 7 days before are non-refundable. The full policy is on our Terms page.
