About this day
The Maya Herbal Healing Experience is a full day with Maya herbal medicine in southern Belize, booked through Palmento Grove. Like our Garifuna healing day, it is cultural learning, not a medical treatment.
You start in a Maya herbal garden, walked through by someone who works it — what each plant treats, how it is prepared, and the place it holds in Maya practice.
Then a herbal bath, drawn with plants gathered locally. There is also a smudging, with aromatic herbs burned to clear the space. As with everything we offer, you’re told what it’s for before it begins.
The day closes with a Maya meal built around the same plants.
